SUMMER -- Blue Skies and Sunshine!
8200 has a complete line of top quality inflatables including rafts, duckies and inner tubes for your self-guided float down the Rio Grande. We have rafts that can handle up to 10 people. Duckies (inflatable kayaks) are available in both single seat and tandem for your whitewater adventures. Most family floats are done using paddles, however for those that prefer the use of oars we do have day frames. The rafting crew at 8200 are all very experienced oarsmen and will instruct you on the proper use of your vessel and equipment provided.
Joel Condren, the owner of 8200 also founded South Fork Anglers and continues to guide almost every day. The floats generally last 2-6 hours, and encompass anywhere from 8-14 miles of river. The sections floated include rapids from very mild class I, to a slightly more aggressive float with class II rapids. Transportation to and from the river is provided for all white water trips.
We are offering a package deal to ride the Denver Rio Grande Railway from South Fork to Wagon Wheel Gap and then raft all the way back to town. Rail tickets can either be purchased at 8200 or directly at the rail station in South Fork.
All fishing rafts include the use of a trailer allowing you to tow the raft to any section you would like to fish. The fishing rafts include a standard fishing frame and oars.
