With over 4,000 sites, Mesa Verde National Park in southwest Colorado is the nation's richest archeological preserve. We offer your friends and family the opportunity to stay right inside the Park . . . the best way to experience its mystery and beauty.
At Morefield Campground, just 4 miles from the park entrance, you'll have convenient access to restrooms, firewood, food and supplies, coin-operated hot showers, coin-operated laundry, gas station and RV dumping station at Morefield Village. Camping equipment rentals are available for an extra charge at the registration desk.
Tenting camp sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. While the 15 full hookup RV sites require reservations. Each has a table, bench, and BBQ grill. Many sites offer shade. Camping is open to tents and trailers.
Base Camping includes a 10x12 Canvas tent (think of these as yurt-cabins), inside is outdoor carpet flooring, two cots and a lantern, next to your yurt is an awning, picnic table and fire ring. Breakfast is included from May 5th through Labor Day. Children 11 years and under are free, but you need to rent another cot.
The Far View Lodge inside Mesa Verde has newly renovated rooms, private balconies, and panoramic views.
Start your day with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at the cafe in Morefield's full-service village. Take a fascinating guided tour or one of the park's scenic hikes - both depart from the campground.
Located by Far View Visitor Center. A restaurant, cafeteria, and gift shop are located near the lodge.
