Boulder, Colorado has expanded over the past 100 years from a once small town to a thriving city. This city is the home of the University of Colorado Buffaloes. Spend a day at Boulder Reservoir where you can swim, sail and water ski during the summer months. Hiking, mountain bike and cross-country ski trails abound in and around town. Drive down Pine Street and see the Mork and Mindy house, setting of the popular 1970's TV show. Visit Chautauqua Park and hike on the many trails or picnic in the courtyard, while viewing the magnificent Flatirons. Become a child again and swing and slide at Scott Carpenter Park, named after the famous astronaut who called Boulder his home. During the summer, Shakespeare lovers will want to attend a play at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival sponsored by the University of Colorado. Along with all the culture and other events this college town offers, Boulder is becoming known for its many coffee shops, bagel bakeries and micro-breweries.
