The Bull Moose is located in Guffey, Colorado which is an old mining town nestled in a picturesque valley of the Rocky Mountains. Come in for a warm welcome, delicious meal, and enjoy the wonderful scenery and mountain air.

Guffey is on the way to many Colorado attractions including the Royal Gorge, Cripple Creek, Fairplay, Eleven Mile Reservoir and is a scenic shortcut to Breckenridge. It's a unique town situated in an extinct volcano crater with historic buildings erected during the gold rush in the late 1800s. Besides the cat who serves as Guffey's mayor, you may also see some of our local wildlife including bears and elk. Watch out for our deer herd called "The Ladies" who roam throughout the area.

Hours of Operation: Open all year -- usually Thursday through Monday. Call 719-689-4199 for current hours of operation.

Menu: We offer delicious buffalo burgers, hamburgers, fish and chicken entrees; award winning steak dinners on Friday and Saturday nights; Sunday breakfast specials; and a children's menu.

Our steaks and burger patties are from the Scanga Meat Company in Salida, Colorado -- no antibiotics, steroids, or added hormones. We serve Sea Salt and no MSG.

Location: In Guffey between Canon City and Fairplay on Highway 9. Turn at mile marker 21 onto CR 59 and go about a mile up the mountain (elevation 8600 feet). Our address is 1245 Canon Street, Guffey CO 80820; telephone 719-689-4199.
