Located in the Yampa Valley west of Steamboat Springs, Elkhead Reservoir and the Headquarters on the Yampa River offer visitors a wonderful area to enjoy Colorado's outdoors.

For camping and flat-water sports, try Elkhead Reservoir. For river recreation, use the eight public access sites available along the Yampa River.

We also have a volleyball court on site and 1 tipi!

The 172-mile stretch of the Yampa River borders private property. We thank you for using only the eight public access sites and respecting private property owners along the river.

Please call the number below directly for updated information before you make your online reservation. Please note that a daily fee or annual parks pass is required for entry into the park.
