Numerous galleries abound in Westcliffe, in all media along with local artisans' workshops: photography and art workshops are offered all summer; plus our Events Art for the Sangres Art Auction, Sangre de Cristo Plein Air - Alla Prima, Art Hullabaloo, and weaving, quilting, knitting & pottery shows.
Both families and serious mountaineers find hiking trails in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the San Isabel National Forest fun from the Rainbow Trail to waterfall hikes to summit climbs to peaks between 13-14,000 feet.
Activities are abound in Westcliffe for the family oriented vacation: bike through the historic towns, visit our museums, hiking, fishing, abundant wildlife, free movies and concerts in our outdoor amphitheater, great rodeos and music events, visit our alpaca farms, and much more.
Visit gorgeous, beautifully preserved Beckwith Ranch, the Silver Cliff Museum of Mining and Fire House Memorabilia, and the All Aboard Westcliffe -- our Railroad Museum.
