- The Desert Reef Hot Springs, a clothing optional family hot spring in Royal Gorge Country, offers crystal clear skies and natual spring water that is hot and relaxing.
Yes, being a family-oriented facility, the hot spring is appropriate for people of all ages. You can be assured that loud, rude, lewd and offensive behavior is prohibited and is not tolerated. But the pool is not a play pool. It's a place for relaxation.
WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE OF THE WATER?
SUMMER average is 94-96 degrees. Below body temperature, without being cold. Our water is refreshing, even on a hot summer day.
WINTER average is 100-102 degrees.
New this year is The Kettle. THE KETTLE is located within the main pool and is used year-round for very hot soaking.
Most of our clients do not wear bathing suits, but about a quarter do and they are most welcome. SUITS-ONLY SOAKING is available monthly as a special event, usually on a Monday from 10 am to 6 pm. We are also happy to schedule suits-only soaking reservations during off-hours for parties of three or more. Please call for additional information.
Desert Reef Hot Spring is open Year-Round:
Wednesday: 10 am - 10 pm
Thursday: 10 am - 6 pm
Friday: 10 am - 10 pm
Saturday: 10 am - 10 pm
Sunday: 10 am - 6 pm
We are closed Monday and Tuesday for private parties and pool cleaning.
