Cancellation Policy:


1) If the room is rented at the desk (without a prior reservation) and the guest decides to cancel the room there is an automatic $10.00 cancellation fee.
2) Once the room is secured with a credit card there will be a $10.00 fee (for each room) if the reservation is canceled unless: The cancellation occurs within seven (7) days of the arrival date (first date of the reservation), then the fee becomes one night's room rate plus tax for each canceled room.
3) Following arrival, if the reservation is for multiple days and one or more days of the original reservation are cancelled, the cancellation fee is the night's room rate plus tax for each room canceled.
4) If the entire reunion is cancelled, the entire deposit is forfeited.
5) If the reservation is made within one week (7 days) of the date of arrival and the reservation is canceled or the guest does not show up, the cancellation fee is one night's room rate plus tax for each room cancelled.

Payment Policy


1) We accept major credit cards including Master Charge, Visa and Discover.
2) We accept Travelers checks with photo ID.
3) We do not accept personal checks unless the checks have been mailed at least two weeks in advance of the date of arrival.
4) We will accept cash payment from guests, however an automatic $75.00 cash deposit or a valid credit card # is required to insure against damages, cleaning charges, or violations of smoking or pet policies. The cash deposit will be refunded after checkout if no violations or damages have occurred.

Smoking Policy


1) During the summer months, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, all our rooms are designated as non-smoking and guests are required to smoke outside on the grounds.
2) If guests smoke in any room during the summer months, or in a designated non-smoking unit in the winter, an automatic $75.00 cleaning fee will be charged to their credit card or guests who paid cash for their room will forfeit the $75.00 cash deposit.

Pet Policy


1) Several units have been designated as pet-friendly. 2) An automatic $75.00 fee will be charged to credit cards or guests who paid cash for their room will forfeit the $75.00 deposit if: a. Damages occur in a pet friendly unit or b. Pets are present in a unit that has not been designated as pet-friendly.

Meeting Room and Pavilion Reservations & Deposits


Our outdoor pavilion is complimentary but must be reserved in advance. We require a valid credit card number or a cash deposit of $25.00 and a signed agreement with the responsible guest that the pavilion will be left in a resonably clean condition. If there are no damages and the pavilion is left in a clean condition the cash deposit will be refunded when the guest checks out.

Our meeting room (cabin #2) has a full-sized kitchen, 1½ bathrooms, a small attached patio and can seat approximately 45 people. The rate for the meeting room is $155.00 per day plus tax (summer rates) and also must be reserved in advance. We require a valid credit card number or a $75.00 cleaning deposit and a signed agreement. If no damages occur and the room is left in a reasonably clean condition the cleaning deposit is refunded.

1. Sink, counters and table-tops are clean
2. Dishes are washed and placed in cupboards
3. Appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee-maker) are clean, and all food is removed from room and appliances
4. Trash is picked up and bagged
5. Carpeting is without major stains

Groups and Family Reunions (Four Rooms or More)

A minimum three-night stay is required for each reunion and group reservation made for the summer season i.e. from the Memorial Day Weekend through the Labor Day Weekend.

The reunion organizer informs the El Colorado Lodge of the dates of the reunion and the tentative number and types of cabins required. The Lodge will hold the designated cabins to allow family members time to make individual reservations.

For family reunions booking cabins more than one year in advance, room rates may be subject to change (not to exceed 10% of original quoted rate).

The length of time the Lodge will hold the cabins is dependant on the time of year the tentative booking is made. For advance bookings, room will be held until January 1st. Each family reunion will be informed of the reservation deadline.

Each family reunion will be informed of the reservation deadline. It is the responsibility of each individual reunion member to contact the Lodge to confirm their reservation. If a reservation is not confirmed by the given deadline, the Lodge will automatically release the room without notification to the guest.

Deposits:

The El Colorado Lodge requires a deposit for each room reserved. The deposit is the amount of one night's room rate plus tax. Deposits must be paid when the reservation is made. We will accept major credit cards or a personal check, if the check arrives in the mail prior to the reservation deadline. The deposit will be applied toward the guestıs room fees unless the reservation is cancelled (see cancellation policy).

Cancellation policies:

Because of our small size and a short season, cancellations affect us significantly. A guaranteed reservation constitutes a contract whereby we agree to forego all other reservations; the guest in turn, agrees to assume financial responsibility for those rooms being reserved for them. The closer to the arrival date a cancellation occurs the less likelihood of re-renting the room. For these reasons the Lodge adheres to a strict cancellation policy.

If the reservation is canceled the cancellation fee is $10.00 for each room canceled unless the cancellation occurs within 60 days of the date of arrival. If the reservation is canceled within 60 days of the date of arrival, the cancellation fee is one night's room rate plus tax for each cancelled room and the deposit is forfeited.

Each guest is responsible for the full length of his or her reservation. Following arrival, if one or more days of the original reservation are cancelled, the guest remains financially responsible for the original reservation dates and will be charged for those dates.
