Unforgettable to be sure! El Rancho Pinoso is the perfect location for families to enjoy the simple pleasures of just being together, or a great place for the avid fly fishermen to get away from the hectic pace of the city.

At the edge of San Juan National Forest, in one of the most beautiful valleys in Colorado, is a genuine dream come true: El Rancho Pinoso. Complete with 3 miles of beautiful trout stream, newly renovated mountain cabins, accommodations for horses and so much more.

A 900 Acre Private working cattle ranch all to yourself!

pagosa springs summer lodging

El Rancho Pinoso is a "Rembrandt" in disguise, located in the magnificent Blanco Basin at the edge of San Juan National Forest. Just imagine the privacy of a 900-acre working cattle ranch, all to yourself for an entire month, or a minimum of a 4 to 5 days. Our cows and horses graze happily around our cabins, which have wonderful porches for you to enjoy and soak up the clean mountain air.

The Log Cabin is a historic 2-story log cabin with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 7. The cabin offers the convenience of a full kitchen, living room with fireplace, washer & dryer, and telephone & internet access. The Cowboy House, also recently updated, offers similar features as the Log Cabin plus a television and DVD player, 2 baths and 4 bedrooms and sleep a total of 8.

The ranch is designed for families. We encourage parents with kids to interact together whether it's fishing, horseback riding, or hiking together. We do not have a formal program for children but our managers' children are often on site and enjoy sharing fun together.
