The Mine Shaft Inn in Rico is located downtown next to the post office along the San Juan Scenic Highway. Right in the middle of the San Juan National Forest; we offer a view of a scenic mountain peak in every room we offer except one. The southeast kitchen has a set of windows that make a veritable mural of mountain scenery.
With the layout of the Inn there are many different rental options available. There are two units that can be combined to accommodate up to 20 people or separated to allow a couple to have their own private home away from home. Another bank of rooms with a shared bath can be rented by either side to add another 5 bedrooms with a shared bath.
Location: From Durango, Colorado drive west on Highway 160, connect in Mancos to Highway 184 northwest. Near Dolores, right onto Highway 145 north. Inn is next to US Post Office, downtown Rico on right.
