Our motto: The best horses, the best guides, and above all, the best scenery!
OutWest Guides offer guests vacationing in Crystal River Valley, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, and Vail horseback riding into the gorgeous Maroon Bells and Snowmass Wilderness Areas. Choose from a 1-hour horseback ride designed for families with small children, to 2 & 5 hour horseback rides for those looking to spend an afternoon in the saddle. Also offered are amazing multi-day Montana-style wilderness horse pack trips (call for information).
We feature Missouri foxtrotters, Tennessee walkers, quarter horses, paints, and Arabians from outstanding bloodlines such as Hancock, Leo San Cita, Bar Ode Time, Missouri Traveler, Bask, Pavonia, Magnum Psyche, Half Brother . . . We take excellent care of our horses, and you'll notice the difference.
Our horses are young, fit, strong, lively, and ready to go. Our horses are gentle enough for any beginning rider, and will patiently carry them up and down the mountain. Experienced riders, however, will delight in our horses' responsiveness and light touch.
The wildlife in the Marble, Colorado area is astounding. We commonly see elk and mule deer on our Colorado horseback rides, but we see a wide array of creatures from time to time, including blue grouse, ptarmigan, all manner of flickers and woodpeckers, jays, golden eagles and bald eagles, ducks, geese, red-tailed hawks, goshawks, and other raptors; chorus frogs and tiger salamanders; bighorn sheep; fox and coyotes; and even a rare lynx was recently spotted near Marble.
Riders must be at least 7 years old.
