RAFTING THE UPPER COLORADO: Prepare to be awestruck; rafters will enjoy a variety of wildlife such as Bald Eagle, Beaver and River Otter through the canyon. With Willows and Cottonwoods lining the river and Ponderosa Pines, Pinions, Junipers and Sage covering the slopes and an abundance of wildflowers, this truly is the most relaxing and scenic rafting trip Colorado has to offer. RAFTING THE ARKANSAS RIVER: The Arkansas River flows 1,460 miles from the Continental Divide just outside of Leadville, CO to the mouth of the Mississippi River on the Arkansas border. It is the 6th longest river in America. Dropping 10,000 feet in the first 125 miles, the Arkansas River delivers some of the country's best whitewater rafting experiences.

FLY-FISHING IN THE COLORADO ROCKIES: Wide Open Adventure offers many miles of productive angling for a half or full day of fly-fishing without the long drive. FOR BEGINNERS, our professional guides offer quality custom instruction and will teach you how to read the river, casting, fly-fishing techniques and much more. For the EXPERIENCED ANGLER, they offer local water knowledge and techniques. Four and five weight rods are perfect for your Rocky Mountain fly-fishing experience with the average trout being 10 to 14 inches.

HORSEBACK RIDING TOURS: Horseback is a great way to experience the serenity and splendor of the Colorado Rockies. Travel the trails with local, professional and knowledgeable guides. Take a private tour with spectacular views around abandoned mines and down memory trails of 19th Century Colorado that is only accessible via horseback mountain top rides. The Central City peaks are rich with beautiful scenery and Colorado gold rush history.
