Cowboys, Horses and Trail Rides in the Spectacular Scenery of Colorado's Southwest

We Do Cowboy & Cowgirl Things Here in Mancos Colorado!

Come on a horseback trail ride in Colorado's San Juan Mountains! Our clear western skies let you see Colorado's spectacular La Plata Mountains to the East; and to the West, the view includes world-famous Mesa Verde National Park and Sleeping Ute Mountain!

Perry and Lynne Lewis have grown Rimrock Outfitters to include traditional trail rides, breakfast and dinner rides, camp and pack trips, plus carriage, wagon, and winter sleigh rides! We happily accommodate large family reunions. Perry and Lynne continue to add a personal touch to the horseback rides by conveying a warm, friendly attitude toward each of their guests.

High Alpine Wildflowers and Wildlife Abound!

Rimrock Outfitters' experienced guides and mountain bred horses will make your trail ride a quality experience! With safety in mind, we will match the experience level and riding ability of the guest to our horses. Ride for an hour or two; or a half day to a full day. We occasionally have Indian guides that will discuss the areas native cultures with you, inquire if you are interested.

BREAKFAST RIDES: Bacon crackling in the pan, hot-off-the-griddle golden flapjacks swimming in Lynne's homemade syrup, and fresh ranch eggs are all cooked over an open fire. Orange juice and real cowboy coffee top it off. Wake up with a Rimrock Outfitters breakfast ride and treat yourself to the best breakfast experience you ever had in the high mountains of Colorado! We meet at the corral at 8am and saddle up for an hour ride. When we arrive at the breakfast cookout, the coffee is brewing and the cook has the bacon sizzling. Our 22 inch skillet and those griddles sure hold a lot of our fresh ranch eggs and golden fluffy pancakes! If y'all go hungry on a Rimrock breakfast ride, it's your own fault!

DINNER STEAK RIDES: If you are looking for the ultimate cowboy experience, there's nothing like fresh mountain air and the fragrance of steaks cooking over an open fire! Select cuts of world famous Colorado beef, expertly grilled over an open fire with all the fixin's. The Colorado Rockies provide the atmosphere and we provide the horses and food. Meet at the corral at 4pm for the horse orientation. Enjoy your one hour horseback ride through our beautiful alpine scenery. Build up an appetite then relax and enjoy an authentic Colorado cowboy-style meal!

HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE: How romantic for the bride to arrive at her outdoor wedding in a horse-drawn carriage! Our carriage is available for your wedding. Please contact us for specific details and to arrange.

WAGON RIDE: Don't miss this classic western adventure; your group can experience this authentic western memory maker. The wagon holds 14 average sized adults. The minimum is 4 people ages 6 or older.

** We can also take the wagon on a breakfast or dinner ride if you have at least four in your party who cannot ride a horse. **
