SPACE FOUNDATION DISCOVERY CENTER: We are a dedicated space, science and technology center and museum. It is an interactive, education-focused destination that advances science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) in the exciting context of space exploration, development and utilization. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-4pm.

WHAT WILL YOU DISCOVER? Current moon explorations, Huygens probe, launch to the moon, lunar module, MARS Viking Lander, scale model rockets, space suits, space food, AGI space mission simulation lab, Mars Robotics lab and Science On a Sphere® to name a few.

DISCOVERY CENTER MONTHLY EVENTS

Space Foundation Mission -- To advance space-related endeavors to inspire, enable and propel humanity.

SPACE STORY PARTIES: Every 1st Monday morning of each month we host a themed story time this exciting event also features hands-on activities, drinks, and snacks. The activities are designed to spark an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in young learners ages 2-5.

FAMILY STAR PARTY: Every 4th Wednesday evening of the month we host an evening of looking to the stars and discovering the wonders of the universe. This event creates a fun learning environment for the whole family and inspires the next generation of astronomy enthusiasts! Event Tickets required to explore the Discovery Center and Science On a Sphere® inside. All outdoor activities are free.

SPACE AFTER DARK: Every 2nd Friday evening of each month we host a fun, interactive event for adults. This event is for adults 21 years and older. Event Tickets include: 2 drink vouchers, light bites and admission to the Space Foundation Discovery Center.

STAR DAYS: Every 1st Saturday of each month we host a space experience with activities, special presentations and take-home crafts.

TESLA'S TOOLBOX: Every 3rd Saturday morning of each month we host handles on experiences with programming, electronics, and machines for pre-teens to adult. This program is named for engineer Nikola Tesla, who conducted some of his most creative experiments in Colorado Springs. Activities include App Development, Minecraft 3D Design and Programming, a Mars Robot Design Challenge and Kinetic Creations. Space is limited; pre-registration is encouraged for ages 10 and up.

SPACE-THEMED VENUES FOR WEDDINGS, FAMILY REUNIONS and SPECIAL OCCASIONS

ACKERMAN CONFERENCE CENTER: We offer unique space-themed venues for your event or special occasion. We've had meetings, wedding receptions, military promotions and retirement celebrations, birthday parties, dances, bar/bat mitzvah parties and beer festivals held in our meeting rooms and venues. All rentals are for a minimum four hours, which includes an hour advanced time for set-up and decorating and an hour for clearing of your decorations. Additional time may be added.

RENTALS INCLUDE: On-site event planner, intriguing museum quality attractions, space and Sci-fi themed rooms and environment and lots of options.
