Pikes Peak is named for Zebulon Pike, an early explorer of the Southwest. Spend a day exploring American Peak by cog tram, car, bike on foot. We recommend you make an early day of it and pack a picnic lunch.
Garden of the God Park is a registered National Natural Landmark. Free full-color trail maps are available at the Visitor & Nature Center. Pick one up and explore the park on your own or take one of the guided walks. Either way remember a camera and a picnic.
