Sunlight's intimate and unassuming atmosphere can be attributed to its small-town roots. Named after a once-thriving coal mining town, Sunlight is now a recreation mecca for outdoor adventure. Not only can you ski the slopes in winter, you can also go snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. In addition in summer the horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking are amazing.

SUN LIGHT INN: Snuggled at the base of Sunlight Resort Ski Area, the Inn offers the ultimate accommodations for relaxation, quiet and beautiful scenery year round. Each of this Colorado Bed and Breakfast Inn's 20 guest rooms are cozy and comfortable, not fussy. Our Romance Suite with fireplace, wet bar, and jetted tub is perfect for celebrating couples. Children are cheerfully welcomed; we have affordable family lodging with little touches that make traveling with young children easier. Let yourself be pampered with quality linens, coffee and tea and a delicious full breakfast.

SNOWMOBILE TOURS: Enjoy the beauty and thrill of riding through the White River National Forest. Take in magnificent 360-degree views of Mt. Sopris, the West Elk Mountains and the Flattops. Our state-of-the-art snowmobiles have electric hand warmers to keep you comfortable. Sunlight Snowmobile Tours' friendly staff will review basic snowmobile operations so even the first timer will feel like an expert driver!

HORSEBACK RIDING: Escape to the beautiful colors and the cool heights of the western Rocky Mountains on horseback! Let the gentle mountain breeze set the mood as you meander through the serene backdrop of the colorful aspen groves, majestic pine trees, abundant wildflowers and a variety of wildlife. No experience necessary! Ask about our 1/2 hour Children's Ride: for children under 7, parent must be present.

LOCATION: At the Glenwood Springs Exit off I-70 take Grand Avenue/Highway 82 south to 27th Street head north. 27th Street, will veer left and become Midland Avenue which will fork, take the right fork onto Four Mile Road/County Road 117 and drive about 9 miles. Four Mile Road ends at Sunlight Mountain Resort. 10901 CR 117, Glenwood Springs CO 81601; 800-445-7931.
