Buena Vista "pleasant view" is quaintly nestled at the base of the Majestic Collegiate and Sawatch Mountains in a protected valley called the "Banana Belt." We have the largest concentration of mountain peaks that exceed 14,000 ft elevation in Colorado and the lower 48 states. BV is the ultimate outdoor mecca with the Arkansas River passing through the valley we are known as the whitewater rafting capital of the US. No matter the season, staying at Thunder Lodge can be your gateway to the adventures of a lifetime!

Warm, cozy and inviting, all cabins have fully equipped kitchens and a large comfortable living room with flat screen TV's and free WI-FI internet access. There are queen beds in the large bedroom memory foam-topped full size bed in the smaller bedrooms, twin roll-away bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. Each cabin can accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably. Pac-n-Play and air mattresses are available upon request.

There is a creekside, rustic gazebo with jacuzzi hot tub, queen beds, flat screen TVs and central heat are the latest additions to Thunder Lodge. The central courtyard features a stainless steel & granite outdoor kitchen, BBQ grill and picnic table for each cabin.

Enjoy wide range of year round activities: rafting, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling and lots more! Bring your family and relax on banks of Cottonwood Creek.
