Golf can be played in Southeast Colorado 330 days a yearÉwith no tee times needed! La Junta's 9 Hole Public Golf Course is open year round and is a popular course for the avid golfer. Amenities Include: bar/grill, full service pro shop, driving range, golf instruction, golf cart rental, and grass greens.

US HIGHWAY 50 is the only US Highway that spans the USA from coast to coast. The ANNUAL "GREAT U.S. 50 YARD SALEÉTHE NATION'S YARD SALE" is the fourth weekend in May

La Junta Early Settler's Day -- September 11th.

We love a get-together here in La Junta and what better way to bring the community together for fun than host an Early Settler's Day Parade? La Junta has been celebrating Early Settler's Day for nearly a century! Events include a pancake breakfast, parade, live entertainment, food venders and specialty booths.

La Junta Music at the Junction -- Friday & Saturday the first weekend in August

Ahhhh, the dog-days of summer -- what a great time to catch a concert under the stars. Music at the Junction has become a new La Junta tradition bringing in quality bands for an evening of entertainment. A portion of ticket proceeds goes to help the Arkansas Valley Hospice. At Potter Park, W 5th St & Grant Avenue. In past years we have had the Hollywood All Stars, Blue Oyster Cult, and Foghat.

Kids Rodeo -- The first weekend in August.

The Kid's Rodeo is over 50 years old and still going strong, is held at the Kids Rodeo Grounds at the La Junta Industrial Park. The rodeo is open to students from age 5 - 18 and has been the starting point for many participants going on to compete in the little britches rodeo. Numerous world famous professional cowboys and cowgirls have gotten their start at the Kids Rodeo.

Winter activities include the Winter Ceremonial Dancing at Koshare Indian museum in the largest wooden structure of its kind in the world and many Craft shows.
