8-hour tour departs at 8:30am and returns around 4:30pm. All ages welcome this is an easy tour with short walks to old ruins, mines, and waterfalls (optional) Available daily. Our Expert 4x4 driver/guide, specializes in history and old time lore as well as edible and medicinal plants of the region. The Elwood Pass stagecoach trail was once the only road leading east over the Continental Divide from Pagosa Springs. We will travel in comfort in a 4-wheel drive suburban, crossing the Continental Divide at Wolf Creek Pass with stops at the scenic overlook and Treasure Falls. Just past Summitville, We head for the top of 12,602 ft. Mountain for a panoramic, eagle' eye view of mountain ranges up to 150 miles away. Herds of elk are often sighted in the meadows below. The wildflowers of the alpine tundra blanket the meadows with a rainbow of colors, contrasting sharply with nearby snow fields. Photographers go wild on this mountain top! Next we head out over Summit and Elwood Passes, both over 11,800 feet, to a shimmering alpine pond, where we will stop for a picnic lunch.

Our daily raft trips are for any group. Mild float trips for the whole family ages 3 to 93, to overnight tours to get you in touch with mother nature, and for the wild at heart class IV and V whitewater to get your blood pumping. We are able to accommodate large groups.

Upper San Juan Quickie Rafting Trip: 3 hour tour (approximately); Departs: daily at 9am, 1pm, and 4:15pm. This section of the San Juan River takes us through a beautiful river valley with high banks over 500 feet high. One of the highlights of the trip is the numerous classes I to III rapids that are fun and bouncy, but are safe for children and adults of all ages.

Mesa Canyon: San Juan River Trip: 6 hours (approximately); Departs: 8am and 2pm. This scenic float through mesa canyon on the San Juan River offers small to moderate rapids (class I to III whitewater). The emphasis is on the scenic beauty and wildlife of this rural wilderness area. The sandstone walls of this valley have been sculpted by the wind and water to form an incredible a variety of surrealistic shapes and colors. Bird life along the river is tremendous.

Included: Naturalists guide-driver, transportation, beverages, and binoculars. Lunch provided for an additional cost (or bring your own).
