LAVERN JOHNSON PARK and CAMPGROUND is walking distance to restaurants, shops, and live music most summer nights. Rocky Mountain National Park's Beaver Meadows Entrance is a 45 minute drive. Camp in Lyons where the campsites are surrounded by family amenities and the rates are affordable! We specialize in tranquillity, family friendly activities and small town hospitality.

Near Steamboat and Rabbit Mountains; Hall Ranch and Heil Valley Ranch Open Space! Explore our trails.

PARK AND FACILITIES: Camp next to the North St. Vrain River and beneath the Lyons Sandstone cliffs with full hookup RV sites and a separate tenting area.

NORTH SAINT VRAIN CREEK: The Creek is the Park's southern board and offers catch and release fishing. Spend a day floatin' down the river, Ray's River Rentals has single tubes, double river tubes, SUPs, wet shoes, life jackets and helmets.

RV SITES: All our RV sites have 50 amp electrical service.

SELECT RV SITES: Open All Year.

TENT SITES: Available April-October. Tent sites' 9-17 are along the river; you will park in a central parking lot and walk a path to your site.

Minutes from historic downtown Lyons and beautiful Steamboat Mountain, Rabbit Mountain, Hall Ranch Open Space, and Heil Valley Ranch Open Space! There are many trails in the area to explore.

PLEASE NOTE: The rates listed below are for up to six people per site.

LOCATION: Lyons, Colorado is between Estes Park and Boulder along US 36. Estes Park is a 30 minute drive northwest and Boulder is a 30 minute drive south along the foothills. Denver and Fort Collins are both about an hours drive; while Colorado Springs is 2 hours; Cheyenne Wyoming is a 1-1/2 hours drive, and Ogallala Nebraska is 3-1/2 hours. Grand Junction is a 4-1/2 hour drive and Durango is a 7 hour drive.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: LaVern Johnson Park and Campground is at the intersection of CO Highway 7 (5th Avenue) and Railroad Avenue in Lyons, Colorado.
