BLACK DIAMOND LODGE is tucked deep in the San Juan Mountains at 8,900 feet, high above the city heat and just beyond the charming railroad town of Durango, Colorado. Retreat into Colorado's wilderness for an unforgettable and effortless small wedding, family reunion, or ski adventure. Our newly updated guest rooms, private bathrooms, and gathering spaces offer the perfect balance of community and quiet. And just outside, in Southwestern Colorado, there are an incredible variety of outdoor activities, from biking and hiking in the nearby mountains to skiing the slopes at Purgatory Ski Resort to Durango's hip restaurants and night life.

The Black Diamond Lodge offers day-of-coordination services for an extra fee for groups looking for an all-inclusive experience with lodging for a maximum of 46 people in 12 rooms.

RESORT AMENITIES: Our rustic "spa" includes a steam room, sauna, wood fireplace, and three outdoor hot tubs, available day or night. Start your day in the breakfast room with bagels and cream cheese, along with coffee and tea. Our lodge is a ski-in, ski-out dream, free shuttle service. with advance notice only, to the lifts at Purgatory Resort daily between 9am and 4pm throughout the winter months! Our game room features a pool table, a foosball table, a ping-pong table, and many outdoor yard games. Outside, take a stroll along our walking trails while you take time to enjoy wildlife watching and our clean mountain air, and our firepit is a comfortable place to gather in the evening for s'mores and stargazing. Enjoy a movie room with a large flat-screen TV with streaming services. We also have a community kitchen available for you to use during your stay.

NIGHTLY LODGING RATE ON-SEASON: Whole Lodge $5,500 with a 2-night minimum; the 5th night is 50% off.

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE: Weekday, off-season, locals, and military.

LOCATION: Black Diamond Lodge is between Durango and Silverton in Southwest Colorado. If you fly into Durango-La Plata County Airport, you'll drive CO Hwy 172 to US Hwy 160, then head west to Durango, where you will merge onto US Hwy 550 North, driving through Durango toward Silverton. You will drive past the Lodge to make a U-turn at Yankee Girl Court to get to the Lodge; the drive should take about 50 minutes.

DRIVE TIMES: Durango: 30 minutes. Grand Junction: 3 hours. Albuquerque, New Mexico: 4 hours. Pueblo: 5.5 hours. Colorado Springs: 6 hours. Denver: 7 hours. Fort Collins: 7.5 hours. Phoenix, Arizona, and Amarillo, Texas, are 8 hours away. Dodge City, Kansas: 9.5 hours.
