This national historic site on the Platte River offers activities year round has been under the same family ownership since 1923. You will be "roughing it" in well insulated, well-furnished cabins that sleep from 2 to 10 people. All cabins contain fully equipped kitchens, private baths, easy chairs, bedding and linens, fireplaces (wood provided), and gas heat. The lodge, built in 1900, is on the National Register of Historic Sites, and has been owned and operated by the same family for more than 70 years! The lodge and rooms are a museum. Each lodge room is decorated with antiques. The lodge is open June through mid-September. The cabins are open all year.
A deposit is required with advance reservations. Should you leave before the departure date, the rate for the full time reserved will be charged. Or should you need to cancel your reservation less than 30 days prior to planned arrival, we make an earnest effort to re-rent your accommodations and will then rebate to you the amount received for the occupancy or for your deposit. Location: Bailey, just 45 miles southwest of Denver, is surrounded by the Pike National Forest. It is an undiscovered mountain hideaway, yet near the big city of Denver. At an altitude of 7,750', it is an excellent area for hunting and fishing. If you love the great outdoors, you'll love the South Park area year round!
