Dates | Events | Prices | Art Contest | Groups | Contact 2009 RODEO SEASON - HIGH COUNTRY STAMPEDE RODEO In Fraser at County Road 73. It is the mission of the Winter Park Horseman's Association to successfully keep the High Country Stampede Rodeo up and running in the Fraser valley through weekly rodeos. Promoting youth horsemanship and horsemanship in general, while keeping the western tradition alive. Our rodeos consist of 9 events, a clown act, a specialty act; mutton busting and calf scramble for children, all in the open performance. The junior rodeo has seven events for each age group with awards at the end of our season. Every Saturday in July and August - July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 August 7, 14, 21, 28 & September 4. 2pm Ð Slack (extra competition that won't fit in the performance) 4pm Junior Rodeo 7pm Performance EVENTS: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Saddle Bronco Riding, Bareback Riding, Team Roping, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Bull Riding. For The Kids: FREE during the performance: Mutton Busting and Calf Scramble. PRICES: Adults $10; Children 6-12 & Seniors $8; 5 & under Free; Free Parking. FOOD and DRINKS: Barbecue starts at 4:30pm till around 9pm. Covered bleachers. JUNIOR ART CONTEST: Prizes will be awarded in 3 age groups, ages 5-14. Art should express this year's theme- "IT'S RODEO TIME". Entries accepted July 1- Aug 19. Prizes awarded at the rodeo Saturday August 22th Ð need not be present. Pick up entry forms at the rodeo every Saturday night. FACILITIESSpecialty Discounts (call for availability): Seniors. Groups. Firefighters and Police Officers.
