Winter in the mountain is always fun! But in Evergreen it's perfect, the roads are easily plowed and while the mountain and meadows stay covered in white for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Evergreen's outdoor ice skating rink is just 5 minutes a way. Loveland Ski area is 25 minutes away just off I-70. (No need to go through Eisenhower tunnel!)
