The museum features exhibits related to all facets of CF&I and related industries' impacts on the American West. By coming to the Steelworks Museum, you will learn how CF&I played a part in the history and development of Colorado.
FEBRUARY -- FACES OF CF&I: Join the community of Pueblo for a dinner to benefit the Steelworks Museum and Archives on Friday, February 17, 2017. Enjoy dinner, provided by Rosario’s Italian Restaurant, while learning about the history of CF&I and the impact that the company had on Pueblo and Southern Colorado. Held in the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center’s Jackson Conference Room. Tickets: $90 members and $100 guests: 5:30pm Social and Cash Bar 6:30pm Dinner and Program with David Rockefeller Jr, the grandson of CF&I's owner John D Rockefeller Jr.
OCTOBER -- COAL CAMP EXCURSIONS: Visit three of CF&I's coal camps in Fremont County. The tour bus will leave the Steelworks Center at 8:30 am with stops at the coal camps of Rockvale, Williamsburg and Coal Creek. In addition to the mine camps we'll stop at Union Highlands Cemetery near Florence where several CF&I miners are buried. Enjoy lunch and a walking tour in downtown Florence. The day will finish with a tour of the Minnequa Canal headgate of the Arkansas River. Arrive back in Pueblo at about 4:30 in the afternoon. NOVEMBER -- SAINTS AND SINNERS: We do a tour of 5 historic churches and 6 historic taverns around Pueblo with a scavenger hunt. Call 719-564-9086 for dates, reservations and rates.
