The San Isabel area boasts over 50 miles of snowmobile trails traveling through the San Isabel National Forest. The trails start 50 miles south of Pueblo just west and south of the town of Beulah. The elevation ranges from about 9,000 feet to 12,000 feet with an average of 200-350 inches of snowfall. The trails provide incredible scenery and trail riding.
The north loop starts on Highway 165 just north of the junction at Highway 78. The loop runs 19 miles up Deer Peak at 11,500 feet. The loop merges with Greenhorn Road running south.
The trail along Greenhorn Road runs south for 15 miles, connecting to Green Horn Mountain at an elevation of 12,300 feet. There are many cutoffs from this road, totaling about 15 miles. These cutoffs run through Beaver Creek and Amethyst Creek as they travel south.
From Greenhorn Road, a trail runs east to Lake Isabel. This steep trail runs six miles from the junction at Greenhorn Road to the lake. Keep in mind that this trail is not always groomed.
