It's easy to see why White River National Forest is the top forest for recreation when you're riding one of the many snowmobile trails that wind through the 2.3 million acre area.
Ideal for experienced riders, the trails near Glenwood Springs offer a mix of meadows, mountains and trees, so you'll never get bored. All the trails are marked and maintained by the Flattopers Snowmobile Club of Glenwood Springs.
Transfer Trail is off Forest Service road 602, just 2.5 miles north of Glenwood Springs.
Coffee Pot Road is in nearby Dotsero, about 17 miles east of Glenwood Springs on I-70. From the interstate, get on north County Road 301 for a mile and turn left at County Road 140. Two miles up the road, you'll find the parking area for the trail.
