The snowmobile trails near the Gould area offer over 130 miles of groomed trails where you can view 7 different mountain ranges. The trails pass through old ghost towns and abandoned gold camps. The trails are accessed from Gould, 21 miles Southeast of Walden, and extend east towards Cameron Pass and North to the Bull Mountain and Bockman Road Area. To the south, the trail runs to the Illinois Pass where the trails connect to the Grand Lake Trail System.

The snowmobile area runs through the Arapaho National Forest, just east of Rocky Mountain National Park. The area offers 3 miles of open meadows to play on your own. The trails also wander through Routt National Forest and Colorado State Forest State Park. Here is where North Michigan Reservoir lies, with over 71,000 acres of forest, jagged peaks and alpine lakes provide spectacular scenery.
