At Trout Tales Ranch, we pour our hearts into creating a Colorado mountain getaway that feels like your own private retreat. Nestled on 13.5 acres along the scenic Conejos River, just 12 miles west of Antonito, our three log cabins are designed for comfort, relaxation, and adventure. Each cabin, whether you choose: the cozy one-bedroom, the spacious two-bedroom with a loft, or the roomy two bedrooms with a spacious loft, offers a fully equipped kitchen, inviting living spaces, and beds our guests consistently call “incredibly comfortable.” One of our greatest joys is hearing how many families and friends love gathering on the porch, listening to the river flow, and sharing stories after a day outdoors.
As avid anglers ourselves, we love sharing our private, catch-and-release fly-fishing experiences. The legendary Conejos River is just steps away, home to trophy brown trout, vibrant rainbows, and the rare Rio Grande cutthroat. For a different challenge, our stocked pond offers tiger trout, cutbows, cutthroats, brookie, and rainbow, perfect for all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned flyfisher or new to the sport, the thrill of landing a beautiful trout in these pristine waters is unforgettable.
Beyond fishing, Trout Tales Ranch is the perfect base for summer and fall adventures. We're always here to make your stay special: whether you're chasing summer thrills, soaking in the golden hues of fall, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat. We hope you'll fall in love with this special place, just as we have.
