Accommodations at WINDING RIVER RESORT VILLAGE include cabins, lodge rooms and 150 spacious RV and tent sites in Colorado's rocky mountains a true Family Vacation Destination.

In 2018 we added 160 wooded acres along the North Fork of the Colorado River, bordering Rocky Mountain National Park and the Arapahoe National Forest, offers you limitless beauty, recreation and exploration.

RESORT ACTIVITIES: Daily 1 or 2 hour trail rides, pony rides, chuckwagon breakfast in summer on weekends, hay rides, sleigh rides in December, square dancing, Cowboy Church; and On The Trail Rentals: ATVs, UTVs and Snowmobiles (see link below).

CONESTOGA WAGONS RENTALS: Glamping! Come stay in our unique Conestoga Wagons -- the classic pioneer wagon. WiFi, Hot showers in the shower house, picnic table and grill. Sleeps 4 and 6 folks.

FAMILY REUNIONS: We are perfect place for your gathering or family reunion in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. There is something for everyone! Chuckwagon dinner by reservation for groups of 30 or more.

STAY WITH YOUR HORSE -- CAMP SITES WITH PENS: 10 spacious shaded horse/camp sites each with their own 16'x32' pen. We also have five 16'x24' barn runs for those staying in our lodge rooms and cabins. In addition there are six runs near campsites. Ride from here directly adjacent to 250 miles of trails in Rocky Mountain National Park and 130 miles of trails in Arapaho National Forest.

LOCATION: In Northwestern Colorado a two and half hour drive from Denver into the Mountains; take I-70 west to US Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass into Winter Park, through Granby to US Highway 34. We are seven miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Winding River Resort Village is eight minutes North of Grand Lake Village. Take US 34 to Kawuneeche Visitor Center turn west on National Park Rd (County Road 491) go 1-1/2 miles; cross the Colorado River and Winding River Resort is on your left.

ON THE TRAIL RENTALS: ATVs, UTVs, Mountain Bikes and Snowmobiles - Rent at the trailhead near Grand Lake and National Park! Unguided and guided snowmobiling on 130 miles of groomed trails. In summer the trails are great ATVs and UTVs. Start your adventure here!
