SILVER SAGE RV PARK is surrounded by thousands of acres of BLM land with endless miles of OHV trails and COLORADO'S ONLY NATURAL ROCK CRAWLING PARK. A stones throw to the east is KENNY RESERVOIR; cast a line, swim, wakeboard, water-ski or float to the White River as it exits the damn and meanders through the Town. A few minutes to the East is CEDAR RIDGES GOLF COURSE, offering an affordable, well maintained and challenging nine hole golf course that is played nearly year round.

Head north and you will discover DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT, dinosaurs once roamed here. Their remains are still visible today embedded in the surrounding rocks. Flowing through the center of the monument are the GREEN and YAMPA RIVERS, where you can hire a private company to take you on a float trip down the rapids. Take a scenic drive up to HARPER'S CORNER, in the monument's canyon country and gaze over the dramatic vistas and watch the Brilliant color changes as the sun passes overhead and sets to the West. It's no wonder why they call it the MINI-GRAND CANYON.

South, on Highway 139, is The Canyon Pintado National Historic District that includes hundreds of archaeological sites, most deriving from the Fremont Culture. There are 8 interpretive exhibits along the DINOSAUR DIAMOND SCENIC BYWAY all accessible by your family car or RV.

DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT RANGELY is on the 512 mile Dinosaur Diamond Scenic Byway in the heart of the Canyon Pintado National Historic District with Dinosaur National Monument a short 20 minute drive.

FISHING in the White River is one of the "best kept secrets" by many Colorado anglers. It is home to four species of trout: rainbow, brown, brook and cutthroat, as well as whitefish. There are many options within a mile.

GOLF at Cedar Ridges Golf Course. A challenging, affordable, well maintained par-72 golf course. Cedar Ridges offers a pro shop, snack bar, a practice putting green, chipping green and driving range. A 5 minute drive.

HUNTING: The White River Valley is home to one of the largest elk herds in North America, along with mule deer, antelope, mountain lion, black bear, coyote, pronghorn, turkey and dove.

KENNEY RESERVOIR is the perfect place to cool off where you can swim, fish, cliff dive or bring your boat to go water-skiing. An 8 minute drive.

MOUNTAIN BIKE: Rangely has miles of mountain bike trails for both slick rock and trail riding. A scenic by-way bike route from Rangely to Harper's Corner in Dinosaur National Monument offers amazing views and a challenge to complete the route.

OHV/JEEP: Wagon Wheel West OHV Trails offer more than 360 miles of off road thrills. Trail difficulty ranges from mild to wild. Trails are easily accessible from Silver Sage RV Park. The town of Rangely is proud to be an "OHV Friendly" community.
